After completing my largest painting ever- a privately commissioned triptych measuring 40x90 inches - I was just itching for another very large piece. When I unwrapped this canvas, the textures and colors just poured out as easily and naturally as if they were meant to be together. They drew me into their warm embrace. Can't you feel the storm moving in over the mountains? The scent of rain blowing in? And yet, she's not ominous in any way. We are safe in the shadow of those glorious mountains.
