Indigo Evening

This painting began as something quite different and experimental. While I rather liked where it was headed, it just wasn't complete. Despite months of contemplation I simply couldn't solve the riddle. My 7-year old daughter suggested I "add more mountains". And so I did.  The perspective brings to mind the view of our Sandia mountains with the Rio Grande River and Bosque cottonwoods in the foreground.
